Copying Services

Special Collections provides reproductions in the following three formats: photocopies, scans, and prints. We will not reproduce material deemed too fragile to withstand the process or when doing so would violate copyright law. 

Photocopies

Photocopies cost 10 cents per page.* Due to the uniqueness of the material, Special Collections staff must make photocopies for researchers. Small orders can often be processed immediately, larger orders will be completed in the order received.

* Photocopies of the Texas Legation Papers, printed on 11” x 17” paper, are 25 cents per page.

Scans

Unless otherwise requested, images will be scanned at 300 dpi.

Price per scanned image:

$2 for students and TCU faculty/staff

$5 for all other clientele

Price per CD: $1

Prints

Prints of scans up to 8 ½” x 11” can be produced in-house and are subject to the prices below. Oversized prints, when the condition of the material allows for a scan and duplicate print to be made, will be sent off-site and are subject to the prices charged by the vendor.

Price per scanned image:

$2 for students and TCU faculty/staff

$5 for all other clientele

Publication fees

There are no publication fees currently in effect. However, we do require that patrons request permission to publish so that we may guide them to the proper source to grant permission and provide the preferred citation once permission has been granted.
